This will be the second last windup email following the AGM in Halifax.   I will let everyone know when some select photos are ON the web site.

 

This concerns the Tattoo and our initial charge for that event.

 

That was based on two facts.......we didnt know the price of the tickets a year ahead, and we expected to have to contribute to the planned VIP receptions before and after.

 

As it turned out, we got a very good price on our tickets, mainly because of our large number of 212.

 

Then because we simply had so many who wanted to go the Tattoo, the receptions became unwieldy and impossible.

 

We did make up for some of that with a Tattoo program, as well as free wine before the President's Dinner, and then an Open Bar at the Up Spirits.

 

But this still left us with funds, and it was decided it would be too difficult to consider individual rebates for what was a minor sum.

 

Accordingly, the decision was to rebate funds to each NOAC Branch, based on number of members attending from that branch.

 

Those cheques have been sent to Branch Presidents, the total amount being $3120.

 

After that the remaining funds are divided between National and Nova Scotia NOAC, and the books will be closed.
